Amidst the tranquil countryside at the foot of the Campsies sits Strathblane Country House – a delightful, privately-run boutique hotel. Overlooking Dumgoyne and Ben Lomond, this country hideaway is close to leisure pursuits but still accessible for Glasgow city centre with its many attractions. Strathblane Country House offers a peaceful retreat and a warm welcome.
Our talented team of chefs take pride in producing great food from fresh local produce. Whether that is a traditional Scottish breakfast, a light lunch or fine dining, we cater for every taste. The emphasis is on seasonality and quality of ingredients.
Our flexible function suites allow us to cater for a wide variety of events, from small private dining (up to 24) to wedding receptions (up to 130 seated).
We’re surrounded by golf – from local friendly courses to championship standard. Parkland and lochside, hills and valley settings.
Strathblane Country House is the perfect base from which to visit some of the best golf in the West of Scotland. Hilton Park (36 holes); Buchanan Castle and the world-famous Carrick (on Loch Lomond) are amongst them. Alternatively some of the friendly local courses might fit the bill. Whatever your standard there’s something here for you and your golfing partners.

"What a fantastic wee hotel! The room was beautiful with stunning views onto the Campsie Fells and Ben Lomond. The staff were an absolute delight and could not have been more helpful or attentative. Then there was the food...... WOW!!!! My steak was cooked to perfection, so juicy and tender and I have no words to describe how delicious my pudding was. I will definently be back!!!"

"“Touring the Scottish highlands”"
"Strathblane Country House Hotel was our last night stay after touring around the highlands. We had prebooked this hotel using a Groupon voucher which cost £79 per couple. At this price the accommodation and food were well worth it. Our room was very large and well equipped. The bathroom had received some updating but was still in need of an overall. I believe the hotel is privately owned and is a 'work in progress' project. The smaller dining room was used for our meals which was adequate and cosy for the amount of guests at the time of our stay. The food was well presented and delicious. There is a comfortable panelled lounge and bar area with a roaring fire-which was most welcome. It would be nice to return to this hotel again in the future to see what improvements/updates have been made by these owners who are obviously passionate to get the house back to a very high standard."

"“So Close to Glasgow...why have I not been before?”"
"Nice wee hotel. Twenty minutes away from Glasgow. 55 if you cycle. Good bar and a local lager. Whiskey distillery on the doorstep so a few local whiskeys also. Nice log fire to sit in front of. Meal was also good. The blackpudding starter was excellent, but I could have done with a thicker bit of BP. All of the main courses were great, but the sirlion steak was the star of the show. Supplement a wee bit pricey at £10, but you get what you pay for .( it was a groupon deal btw) staff all helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back. Rooms were ok but I had my eyes shut most of the time I was in there. ....sleeping."

"“Great food”"
"Stayed here for one night for my husbands birthday . Had read mixed reviews before arriving but I we were pleasantly surprised. Stayed in room number one which had a poor review but I don't know why as it was a lovely large room with authentic decor, large comfy bed and a lovely bathroom with jacuzzi bath and spotlessly clean. Only down side and it is minimal is the pillows . Far to hard to get comfy with.
The food is amazing. I had beef stroganoff which was the tastiest meal I have in a long time. Everything is cooked fresh and worth the wait. Compliments to the chef. The staff are very polite and helpful but could benefit from some more training silly little mistakes made . Overall a great stay , brilliant food and lovely setting . Will definitely return."

"“Great overnight stay”"
"Booked BB & Evening meal through 5PM and loved the place. Watch a display of Falconry from our bedroom window,with the Campsie Hill as a backdrop, what can I say, fantastic.20 to 30 minutes drive from the city centre and you are in the beautiful countryside. Room 6 has a huge and very comfortable bed. View over the hills and Fanconry displays."

"“fab stay”"
"I booked this deal with living social at a fantastic price. Reception and check in was friendly and quick. Room was clean and had everything you needed, the bed was a bit soft for our liking, but thats personal choice.
We had a beautiful meal, lots of choices. Food delicious, and portion size just right.
Breakfast in the morning was plentiful, piping hot, and served at your table.
All in all a very pleasant night away."
